Here are three easy tips to help improve your SEO today:
1. Use keyword-rich titles and descriptions:
Make sure each page title and description include keywords relevant to your site's topic. This will help you with your SEO because as you describe your business, it will start to appear online more often.
Keep in mind though, keywords are just words people type online, the problem is understanding what type of keywords people regularly use to find your type of service or product.
Be mindful of your competitors when applying a keyword, if that particular keyword has too much competition, it is less likely that search engines will show your business to more customers, why? Because the competition has more relevant content.
The only way to beat the game is to constantly create genuine, likable content for your users, if you do that search engines will see what you're doing and prioritize your content over the competition.
2. Optimize your images for SEO:
There are many tools available to help you with this, but try to be consistent when you describe your images. Is not enough to just upload an image to the web because even though you can search for similar pictures online, you're not actually describing the image.
If you don't name your images with keywords, your business is less likely to show on the web. So, every time save an image on your computer, don't use the default name "file_9585937" and instead describe the image, and put your business name.
Here you have a small example:
Let's say you sell Shoes, and your company's is Shoe World. You took a picture of one of your products to upload it to your blog. That mage right there is given a default name by your phone, you want to change that default nameless name for something more personalized.
Now that file has the name "Red shoes for women by Shoe World". By changing that name, you literally worked on your SEO, now every picture you take and name will increase your chances of appearing to an online audience searching for "Red shoes for women".
3. Make sure your site is mobile-friendly:
Is no secret that most users online use a phone to navigate the web, search engines reward websites that make their business mobile-friendly. Think about it, the business of a search engine is to provide information to their customer, if your business can't show information properly, they won't refer their customer to you.
SEO is an important part of any business, and the better you understand it, the better your business will perform online. So, when you think about optimizing your website, put into practice everything you know, and be disciplined with it.
